Colonnade Lights Frequently Asked Questions ...about Lite Clips Rod clips for Miniature and C-7: Q: How do I determine what size clip to use? A: Measure the diameter of the wire or rod that you are going to attach the light set to. If the diameter is between 3/16" and 5/16" and your light sockets are 1/4-3/8" in diameter then choose the appropriate miniature clip. For a rod diameter of 1/4-3/8" and a socket diameter of approximately 5/8" then choose the appropriate C-7 rod clip. Q: What sizes of rod will the miniature socket fit? A: 3/16" 1/4" and 5/16" Q: What side rod will the C-7 socket fit? A: 1/4" 5/16" and 3/8" Q: What size is a miniature socket? A: Yes, the "Flat Clip" is designed for miniature sockets with a flat surface of 1/2" square for attachment with double sided foam adhesive or a silicone based caulk/adhesive like E-6000. Q: How do you install the clips? A: We suggest that you determine the number of bulbs that you are going to install on the frame or display. From this point install the clips based upon the socket spacing of your light string. Next install the clips with an angular action where only a part of the clip is placed on the rod then gradually rock the clip into place. This is easier that trying to force the clip directly on the rod. Last install the socket.
